MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Tyler Merchant, Sr., Hardin-Simmons

Hardin-Simmons senior Tyler Merchant (Gunter, Texas) led the Cowboys as the team placed fourth out of 13 teams at the Rhodes Invitational. He finished 10th individually with a 72-74-74=222 (+4). Merchant led the tournament in Par 3s with a 2.92 stroke average and in birdies with 13 total. 

WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Julia Sosa, So., Mary Hardin-Baylor

Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore Julia Sosa (Austin, Texas) tied for second at the Montgomery Intercollegiate with a 76-69=145 (+1). Sosa's 69 in the second round was three under-par, her personal best as a golfer and a Crusader.
