PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jacqueline Berry, G, So., Hardin-Simmons

Jacqueline Berry of Hardin-Simmons averaged 20 points per game while shooting 54% from the field in two HSU victories this week. In a 28-point performance, Berry went 11-17 from the floor, adding 11 rebounds and two assists in a 75-71 overtime win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

She followed that effort with a 6-14 shooting night in a 70-47 victory against La Verne. On the season, Berry is averaging 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Hardin-Simmons will open conference play at Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday, January 24 at 1:00PM.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Hannah Ayala of East Texas Baptist scored 13 points to open conference play in a win over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Hannah also recorded five rebounds and two assists, helping lead ETBU to a 76-43 victory.
