New Braunfels, Texas – April 6-11 marks NCAA Division III Week, a week dedicated to the impact of athletics and student-athletes on campuses and in surrounding communities. From community engagement and academic achievement to lifelong relationships, Division III provides student-athletes with a well-rounded collegiate experience at the highest level.
The American Southwest Conference (ASC) currently sponsors baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball, while hosting 13 conference championships. The 2026-27 academic year will mark an exciting milestone for the conference, as beach volleyball and flag football will be introduced as varsity sports. The ASC’s member institutions: East Texas Baptist University, Hardin-Simmons University, Howard Payne University, and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor continue to elevate the student-athlete experience across all programs.
Throughout the week, the ASC and its member institutions will spotlight the unique stories of student-athletes, coaches, and alumni who define the conference. From achievements in competition to impact beyond the game, these stories reflect what makes Division III special.
Mary Hardin-Baylor was named as the Video Contest Winner in 2025. Follow along on social media to see these stories come to life and join us in celebrating NCAA Division III Week.
