OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Paul Woodard, RB, Sr., East Texas Baptist
Paul Woodard had a career night for the Tigers, scoring four touchdowns and rushing for a career-high 238 yards on 19 carries. He averaged 12.5 yards per carry, including touchdown runs of 73, 39 and 1 yard. Woodard made one score to tie the game and two scores to give ETBU the lead.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Rowdy Rowan, CB, Gr., Hardin-Simmons
Rowdy Rowan and the Cowboys defeated No. 12 UW-La Crosse, earning a 28-20 road victory. Rowan recorded a career-high nine tackles while helping hold the Eagles to just 5.4 yards per attempt on 51 pass attempts.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Paul Woodard, RB, Sr., East Texas Baptist
Paul Woodard took the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown as ETBU took on Belhaven. Overall, Woodard recorded more than 300 all-purpose yards, continuing his strong offensive performance for the Tigers.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES (OFFENSE) | Wes Douglas, WR, Gr., Hardin-Simmons
Wes Douglas came through in the fourth quarter, hauling in two touchdown receptions to secure the win for the Cowboys. Douglas finished with six catches for 130 yards, sparking the HSU offense with both touchdown receptions coming on third down.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES (DEFENSE) | Gavin Brzezinski, LB, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Gavin Brzezinski recorded eight tackles, including five solo stops and three assisted tackles. He added tackles for seven yards lost, including a solo sack that resulted in a five-yard loss.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES (SEPCIAL TEAMS) | BJ Stewart, WR, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
BJ Stewart finished with 126 return yards this week, including a 92-yard touchdown return in the third quarter that put the Cru up 17-0.
