Tournament Bracket
RICHARDSON, Texas – No. 2 Hardin-Simmons topped No. 7 Sul Ross State (88-74) to advance to the ASC Championship Tournament semifinals.
Junior forward
Derrick Jefferson led the Cowboys with a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds recording his seventh double-double of the season. Jefferson shot 50 percent (9-of-18) from the field and added a block and steal on the defensive end.
Senior guard
John Barnes wrote his name in the conference record book with a game-high 12 assists. Barnes set the ASC Championship Tournament record for most assists in a quarterfinal game and is one of just three players in tournament history to record 12 assists in a single game.
Sul Ross State junior forward
Percy Settle led the Lobos with 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting in addition to eight rebounds. Sul Ross ends its season at 11-15 overall.
