RICHARDSON, Texas – The graphic design created by Texas Dallas freshman Fayna Zeng will be used on all American Southwest Conference championship T-shirts for the 2015-16 academic year after a vote of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Zeng’s design is the 10th artwork selected in the annual ASC Championship T-Shirt Design Challenge and coincides with the 20th anniversary season of the American Southwest Conference.

The contest is open to all students of member institutions. Zeng’s design is the second consecutive winning artwork by a Texas Dallas student.

Zeng, a member of the UTD women’s volleyball team, is an arts and technology major with graphic design experience and plans to work in the field commercial design.

“Graphic design is something I’ve always been interested in,” said Zeng. “It’s an honor that my design will be on the 20th anniversary shirt for the conference.”

The design will be displayed on the front of a white, short-sleeved T-shirts that all conference champions will receive immediately following their victories.
