D3football.com All-Region 3 Team
RICHARDSON, Texas - The American Southwest Conference placed 28 players on the D3football.com All-Region 3 Teams, the website published Wednesday.
The ASC had 11 First Team selections, nine on the Second Team and eight on the Third Team. Conference champion and NCAA Division III Championship Semifinalist Mary Hardin-Baylor led the way with 13 players selected, including six on the First Team. They were followed by Hardin-Simmons with seven, Belhaven with five and Howard Payne, McMurry and Texas Lutheran with one each.
Howard Payne senior wide receiver Jake Parker was named the Region Offensive Player of the Year. UMHB senior safety Jefferson Fritz was the Defensive Player of the Year.
