MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Cullen Timms, So., McMurry
McMurry sophomore
Cullen Timms (Mansfield, Texas) tied for fourth at the Schreiner Shootout with a 72-73=145 for one over par. He led the War Hawks and matched the best score among NCAA Division III Golfers.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Sophia Padilla, Fr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas freshman
Sophia Padilla (Spring Branch, Texas) finished tied for sixth at the Schreiner Shootout with a 75-79=154 to finish 10 above par. Padilla matched the best score among NCAA Division III Golfers and helped the Tornados improve a spot to third place in the second round.

MEN’S GOLF
East Texas Baptist junior
Jack Sladek (North Richland Hills, Texas) led the Tigers consecutive weeks, as he tied fourth at The Whitney hosted by Dallas. Sladek carded a 77-75=152 to finish +8 Par with a 152.
Concordia Texas freshman
Quade Woods (New Braunfels, Texas) tied for eighth at the Schreiner Shootout. He posted a 74-72=146 to improve on the second day and helped the Tornados capture second as a team.
Howard Payne graduate student
Kyle Anderson (Pearland, Texas) tied for ninth at The Whitney after having a strong second round with a 72 to propel him in the standings by 12 places. Anderson finished with a 156 and shot 12 over par.
WOMEN’S GOLF
East Texas Baptist graduate student
Emily Watson (Canton, Texas) was a top performer for the Tigers at The Whitney hosted by Dallas. She finished second place as she shot a 77-79=156 for 12 over par with a 156. She held first after day one and was five strokes behind after tournament winner Pomona-Pitzer Jessica Mason shot the lowest score of the tournament 72 in the final 18 holes.

The spring season continues March 13-14 as LeTourneau will host the Pinecrest Invitational with Concordia Texas competing as well on both sides.
