DALLAS, Texas – Five student-athletes represent the American Southwest Conference on the 2024 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football All-Texas Non-FBS Team.
Hardin-Simmons senior offensive tackle
Khalil Spivey was named Best Offensive Lineman. He was also named First Team All-America, 2024 ASC Lineman of the Year and was on the All-ASC First Team. Spivey was a key part in helping the Cowboys to 4,281 offensive yards and a total of 56 offensive touchdowns. Spivey served as team captain as he led the Cowboys to the ASC Champion title this season.
Hardin-Simmons senior linebacker
Charlie Patterson was named Best Linebacker. He was also named First Team All-America, ASC Defensive Player of the Year and was a First Team All-ASC selection. He guided a defense that finished with just 192 points allowed and 17.45 on average. The linebacker led the conference in sacks with eight solo for 67 yards. Patterson also recorded 80 total tackles on the season with an ASC-high 14 tackles for loss of 76 yards. He added a forced fumble and quarterback hurry during the 2024 campaign.

Noah Garcia, Mary Hardin-Baylor senior linebacker
Durand Hill and Hardin-Simmons senior punter returner
Dameon Gomes were selected to the All-Texas Non-FBS Team.
Garcia led the Cowboys in rushing during the 2024 campaign with 798 total yards with a 74-yard long. He scored 12 touchdowns while averaging 79.80 yards a game. Garcia also earned D3football.com First Team All-Region and All-ASC First Team honors this season.
Hill led the Cru with 103 total tackles including 56 solo takedowns. He recorded 13 tackles for a loss of 52 yards and 5.5 sacks for a loss of 29 yards. Hill also contributed four interceptions, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. He added seven pass breakups as he helped UMHB limit opponents to 18.92 points per game. Hill was also an All-America selection and First Team All-ASC this season.
Gomes is fourth in the nation in punt return yards with 286 and a 17.9 average per game. He is also fifth in the nation in kickoff returns with 30.8 yards on average. Gomes totals three kickoff return touchdowns with scores of 94, 90 and 83 yards. He was also named Special Teams Player of the Year and is a two-time All-ASC honoree.
