CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kyle Brown, QB, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior quarterback Kyle Brown (Cedar Park, Texas) completed 23-of-29 passes for 420 yards and two scores and ran for another touchdown. He had 388 yards passing and a rushing score in the first half before sitting most of the second half. Brown set a new career high in both passing yards and completions in the Cowboys win.
 
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kirkland Michaux, QB, Gr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor graduate student quarterback Kirkland Michaux (Austin, Texas) threw for 250 yards on 16 completions in a 41-17 win over Howard Payne. He tossed five touchdowns on the day with a 32-yard long.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Da’Marion Morris, S, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior safety Da’Marion Morris (Orange, Texas) totaled 14 tackles against the Yellow Jackets, including nine solo takedowns. He added two tackles for a four-yard loss and one interception, helping the Cru to a commanding win. Morris's interception stopped a Howard Payne scoring threat in the end zone.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Pedro Altamirano, K, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons junior kicker Pedro Altamirano (Clyde, Texas) hit all nine extra points, a 34 yard field goal and had eight touchbacks on 11 kickoffs in the Cowboys win over Nelson.
 

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
Offensive
Howard Payne freshman quarterback Bryce Still (Overton, Texas) completed 29 of 37 passes for 213 yards and threw for 2 touchdowns in HPU's loss at UMHB.

Defensive
Hardin-Simmons senior linebacker Kaiden Roden (Quinlan, Texas) led a defense that shut out the Nelson in the first half and the starters played sparingly in the second half when both touchdowns were scored. He had seven tackles, 2.5 for losses and forced a fumble.
 
Howard Payne sophomore defensive lineman Justin Griffith (Blessings, Texas) totaled two tackles and one pass breakup in HPU's loss at UMHB.
 
Special Teams
Howard Payne wide receiver Landon Kay (La Porte, Texas) returned 2 kickoffs for 72 total yards, with a long of 37 yards in HPU's loss to UMHB.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior wide receiver BJ Stewart (Shreveport, LA) totaled 96 yards in the return game this week. He ran for 91 yards on just two kickoff returns with a long of 64. He added five yards on a punt return and offensively, put up eight catches for 119 yards with three touchdowns
