New Braunfels, Texas – Hardin-Simmons midfielder
Presleigh Thiessen was named American Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year while Mary Hardin-Baylor's
Malyn Martinson was named the ASC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year. The all-conference teams are voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Thiessen led the Cowgirls to the ASC Tournament Championship and a 11-3-2 overall record with her offensive play. She scored four goals, assisted on five other goals, and scored 13 points. Thiessen had 13 shots on goal and contributed with one game winning goal.
Martinson anchored Mary Hardin-Baylor's defense that only allowed 0.95 goals per game and posted nine shutouts. She helped lead the Cru to a 5-1 ASC record and the ASC Regular Season Title. Martinson also contributed on offense by netting two goals and assisting on one goal.
Abigail Hickman from Mary Hardin-Baylor was named the Midfielder of the Year. Hickman played a big part in the success of the Cru by controlling the middle of the field. She scored one goal, played 960 minutes, and helped the Cru secure nine shutouts.
Howard Payne's
Landry Combs was named the ASC Goalkeeper of the Year for her play during the 2025 campaign. Combs played 1194:02 minutes, saved 93 shots, while only allowing 19 goals. She compiled a 1.432 goals per game average, while leading the conference in saves per game with 5.81. She helped the Lady Jackets secure three shutouts on the year.
Gracie Ruthven from Mary Hardin-Baylor was named the Offensive Freshman of the Year for the conference. Ruthven led the conference in shots with 59, shots on goal with 35, was third in goals with six, and ninth in assists with two.
The Defensive Freshman of the Year for the conference is
Aubrey Tipton from Mary Hardin-Baylor. Tipton helped lead a defense that only allowed 0.95 goals per game and compiled nine shutouts on the year.

Taylor Garrett was named the ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
Barry Elkins from Mary Hardin-Baylor and
Brandon Badgeley from Howard Payne were named Co-Coaching Staffs of the Year. Elkins led UMHB to a 8-6-6 overall record, a 5-1 conference record, and the 2025 ASC Regular Season Title. Badgeley and his Assistant
Addie Carroll led the Lady Jackets to a 7-9 overall record, a 2-4 conference record, and a third place finish in conference play.
