AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Co-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Noah Garcia, RB, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Noah Garcia from Hardin-Simmons play on the offensive side of the ball helped lead the Cowboys to the share of the 2025 ASC Conference Championship on Saturday.  Garcia had 20 carries for 161 yards and three touchdowns.  He also had two receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.  For the day he finished with 226 yards and four touchdowns in HSU's, 63-14 win over ETBU. 

Co-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Asa Osbourn, RB, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor's Asa Osbourn helped secure a share of the 2025 ASC Conference Championship after he rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns.  Osbourn also had five catches for 30 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown reception.  He finshed the day with 139 total yards and four touchdowns in UMHB's, 65-9 win over HPU.  
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kaiden Roden, LB, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons Kaiden Roden led the Cowboy defense with 12 tackles, including one for a loss and also added a quarterback hurry. He led a defensive unit that held its sixth-straight opponent under 100 yards rushing.  His play on defense played a big role in helping the Cowboys secure a share of the ASC Conference Championship.  

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Colyn Donnelly, LF, Fr., Hardin-Simmons
Colyn Donnelly from Hardin-Simmons sniffed out a fake punt in the second quarter and made a big open-field tackle to prevent a first down. Later in the game he recorded an interception after a bad snap caused the punter to run and try to pass for a first down.  
 

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
Offensive
Derik Jackson from Howard Payne had four receptions for 35 yards for the Jackets.  

Defensive
Howard Payne's Derrick Lewis recorded six tackles, four solo, and one broken up pass for the Jackets.  
 
Special Teams
Jack HIght from Mary Hardin-Baylor went eight for nine in extra-points with his lone miss hitting the uprights. He added a 33-yard field goal in the contest.
