OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Chris Bryant led the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys with 15.5 points a game in two games last week for a 1-1 record. He scored 18 points against Concordia Texas on Monday in a loss shooting a perfect 6-for-6 and making 6-for-6 free throws. He also had six blocks, seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal against Concordia. Bryant scored 13 points in the Cowboy win over LeTourneau on Saturday. He shot 5-for-9 and had four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks against the YellowJackets.

Howard Payne's Armonie Ramey put together a strong three-game stretch, averaging 18.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game while shooting over 52 percent from the field. He consistently set the tone on both ends of the floor, attacking the basket, creating scoring opportunities, and applying steady defensive pressure. His tough, physical play and ability to impact the game in multiple ways helped keep Howard Payne competitive throughout the stretch leading the Jackets to a 2-1 record.
