Evan Acevedo (Carrollton, Texas) tied for second place individually at the West Region Invitational with a 72-71-73=216 (E). He totaled 11 birdies and ranked fourth in par 4 shooting with a 4.00 average.
CO-MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Kaiden Schneider, Jr., LeTourneau
LeTourneau junior
Kaiden Schneider (Bullard, Texas) helped the YellowJackets to a team win while tying for second place individually at the West Region Invitational with a 70-71-75=216 (E). He totaled 11 birdies and ranked second in par 4 shooting with a 3.93 average.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Sofia Trevino, Sr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas senior
Sofia Trevino (The Woodlands, Texas) finished second at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday. She shot a 78-74=151 (+7), sinking four birdies. Trevino's performance helped the Comets place second in the tournament.

Miken Hernandez (Andrews, Texas) tied for sixth place at the West Region Invitational, shooting a 72-73-75=220 (+4). He totaled five birdies and ranked third in the tournament with 38 pars.
UC Santa Cruz first year
Samantha Shaw (Long Beach, California) placed ninth at the UC Santa Cruz Invite with a 75-79=154 (+12).
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore
Camryn Kiser (Seabrook, Texas) placed second at the Eagles Bluff Intercollegiate with a 77-73=150 (+8). East Texas Baptist senior
Kirsten Bridges (Blossom, Texas) tied for third at the Eagles Bluff Intercollegiate with an 81-73=154 (+12). Hardin-Simmons sophomore
Shay West (San Angelo, Texas) tied for sixth in the tournament and LeTourneau junior
Isabella Ferreira (Plano, Texas) placed eighth.
