NFCA Release

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The East Texas Baptist softball coaching staff was named the 2025 ATEC/NFCA Division III Region X Coaching Staff of the Year, released Wednesday.

ETBU Head Coach Janae Shirley also earned her third ASC Coaching Staff of the Year award this season. Included on Shirley’s staff are: Bill Galloway (Associate Head Coach), Maranda Westbrook (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator), Guy Shirley (Assistant Coach), and Courtney White (Graduate Assistant).

The ETBU coaching staff guided the Tigers to a 43-5 record and 15-1 ASC mark that gave them the 2025 ASC Softball Regular Season Championship and right to host the 2025 ASC Championship. ETBU went on the claim their third straight ASC Championship title and hosted the NCAA Regional and Super Regional rounds. The Tigers earned wins against Marymount and St. Thomas in the Regional before falling to No. 9 Texas Lutheran in the Super Regional.
