OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Noah Garcia, RB, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior running back
Noah Garcia (Abilene, Texas) led the Cowboys to a road win over a good Chapman team. He ran for 158 yards and had a 76-yard touchdown run in the game. Garcia’s 158 yards were his career high. He also had 97 yards on kick returns and caught a pass.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Te’Ron Brown, DT, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior defensive tackle
Te’Ron Brown (Orange, Texas) totaled four tackles against Bethel last week, adding two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and 0.5 tackles for loss. Brown forced and recovered a fumble on the Wildcats' first offensive series and added a 56-yard fumble recovery for touchdown later in the contest. He also combined for one sack.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mitchell White, K, Fr., East Texas Baptist
East Texas Baptist freshman kicker
Mitchell White (Corinth, Texas) made a strong debut as a freshman, going 2-of-3 in field goals and one touchback in kickoffs. He made a 32-yard and 30-yard field goals in the second half. His first field goal came at 11:55 in the third, making it 37-8. The second field goal was at 1:22 in the fourth quarter for a 47-8 final.

Offensive
East Texas Baptist junior running back
Paul Woodard (Freeport, Texas) rushed for over 100 yards, picking up two touchdowns in a 47-8 win over Lyon College. He had touchdown runs of one and 33 yards in the second quarter at 8:55 and 00:55, giving ETBU a 20-8 and 27-8 just before halftime. He played only half the game, gaining 139 yards rushing.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior running back
Kamerin Ferguson (Decatur, Texas) averaged 9.3 yards per carry in a 148-yard performance against Bethel. He rushed 16 times, accumulating 148 net yards with one score, a 70-yard dash at the open of the second half.
Defensive
Hardin-Simmons junior linebacker
Kaiden Roden (Quinlan, Texas) had seven tackles to lead the Cowboy defense in the win over Chapman.
East Texas Baptist sophomore linebacker
Kylevon Morrow (Kaufman, Texas) led the team in tacking with seven in his first start and had one forced fumble. He was a part of the defense that held Lyon College to 241 yards of offense and forced two fumbles. After Lyon scored on their second possession, they did not score again.
Special Teams
Hardin-Simmons junior kicker
Pedro Altamirano (Clyde, Texas) went 4-for-5 on PATs and nailed a 38-yard field goal in the win. He also had touchbacks on three of his kickoffs.
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman punter
Logan Childs averaged 45.7 yards per punt in his collegiate debut at UMHB, totaling 137 yards on three kicks. He had a 50-yard long with one punt downed inside the 20 and one touchback.
