HITTER OF THE WEEK – Addy Todd, Fr., INF, Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman Addy Todd earns her first ASC Hitter of the Week honors after helping the Cru to two wins over Huston-Tillotson last week. In game one, Todd drove in six runs, scored three times, and hit a grand slam. She also recorded two walks and a stolen base, leading UMHB to a 13-0 shutout victory.
In game two, Todd went 1-for-3 with a run scored and drew a walk in the 3-1 victory, completing an undefeated weekend in Belton.
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Avery Holland, Jr., P, East Texas Baptist
Avery Holland earns consecutive ASC Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant performance in Florida at The Spring Games, completing ETBU’s 12-game stretch in eight days across Georgia and Florida. Over three games, Holland went 2-1 against 82 batters, holding opponents to a sub-.200 batting average.
In a 1-0 win over Swarthmore, she pitched 7.0 shutout innings, allowing just four hits with four strikeouts. She followed that with a 10-3 win over Lake Forest, striking out seven and limiting hitters to a .167 average. Holland finished the week with 20 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts, and a 1.40 ERA.
CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Chloe Booth, Jr., P, Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior Chloe Booth earns Co-Pitcher of the Week honors after her shutout performance against Huston-Tillotson. Booth threw 5.0 innings, allowing just two hits and holding HTU batters to a .125 average. She faced 17 batters, giving up a single walk, and fueled seven fly outs and six groundouts to secure the victory.
UMHB will face St. Olaf College and Bethel University this week before returning to conference play against East Texas Baptist on March 21.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
HITTERS
Piper Morton of East Texas Baptist batted .380 on the week with six RBIs, two doubles, a triple, and a home run. Her home run helped East Texas Baptist edge Carthage 5-4.
