ASC Players Recognized on D3hoops All-Region Teams

New Braunfels, Texas – Hardin-Simmons sophomore Jacqueline Berry, Mary Hardin-Baylor senior Hudson Johnson, and Hardin-Simmons junior Chris Bryant have been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region team, released Monday.

Jacqueline Berry – Region 10 Most Valuable Player, First Team All-Region
Berry earned Region 10 MVP honors after a standout sophomore season for the Cowgirls, averaging 15.1 points per game and leading her team to the NCAA Women's Basketball Sweet 16 in New York City. She also earned 2025-26 ASC Player of the Year, First Team All-ASC, ASC All-Defensive Team, and ASC Tournament MVP honors.

Hudson Johnson –  First Team All-Region
Johnson earned First Team All-Region after a dominant season with Mary Hardin-Baylor. The senior led the Cru to the second round of the NCAA tournament, averaging 20.2 points per game and totaling 566 points for the season. Johnson also ranked among conference leaders in three-pointers made (79), field goal percentage (.434), and assists (86), and was named ASC Player of the Year and First Team All-ASC.

Chris Bryant – Second Team All-Region
Bryant earned Second Team All-Region recognition after a strong season for Hardin-Simmons, averaging 15.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He also contributed 54 assists, 20 steals, and 48 blocked shots, and reached 1,000 career points in the ASC championship game with a double-double performance. Bryant was also named First Team All-ASC.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of D3hoops.com’s All-Region team, with the 29th annual All-America selections coming later this spring. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those selected by coaches’ associations, are officially recognized in the NCAA record book.

A total of 797 players were nominated this year by sports information directors from across the country.
