MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Cole MacMillan, So., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Cole MacMillan competed at the West Region Invitational in Whitney, Texas, capturing the individual title with rounds of 70-68-70 for a 208 (-8). He helped lead the Cru to their fifth team victory of the season, as UMHB posted rounds of 292, 296, and 288. MacMillan shot under par in all three rounds. UMHB will return to action at the Emory Classic in Conyers, Georgia, April 18-19.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Camryn Kiser, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Camryn Kiser won the West Region Invitational in Whitney, Texas, finishing with rounds of 76-76 for a 150 (+6). She led the Cru to a second-place team finish with scores of 328-314-642 (+66). Kiser recorded four birdies in her second round to secure the individual title. UMHB will compete at the Deb Jackson Invitational, April 18-19 in Douglasville, Georgia, before heading to the ASC Men's and Women’s Golf Championship, April 30-May 2.
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Cade Barone (Mary Hardin-Baylor) finished second with rounds of 69-70-71 for a 210 (-6), shooting under par in all three rounds.
Lucas Latimer (Mary Hardin-Baylor) placed third at 215 (-1), helping UMHB complete a podium sweep at the West Region Invitational.
Brooke Norman (Mary Hardin-Baylor) tied for third place, carding rounds of 77-77 for a total of 154 (+10).
Olivia Lew (UC Santa Cruz) led the Banana Slugs, finishing tied for sixth with rounds of 85-79 (164).
