Kyle Brennon (Houston, Texas) led the Cowboys with 20 points in an 75-60 victory against crosstown rival McMurry. He also dished out two assists with a block and a rebound while shooting 69.2 percent (9-of-13). This is Brennon’s second career Player of the Week award.

DJ Worrell (El Paso, Texas) made his first career start and had a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds in 31 minutes of action in a 75-60 loss at Hardin-Simmons. He also came up with three blocked shots and 11 defensive boards while shooting 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from the field.
Howard Payne senior forward
Tyrell Thompson (Houston, Texas) averaged 7.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game as the Yellow Jackets lost a pair of games to NCAA Division I opponents. He posted eight boards, two assists, two blocks and three steals at Abilene Christian and followed with 12 points and five rebounds at Sam Houston State.
