Bradshaw, Schaeffer, Lenkopane, and Ramos claim Tennis Weekly Awards

WEST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Brice Bradshaw, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons junior Brice Bradshaw (Hoover, Ala.) earned top flight wins over West Division opponent Mary Hardin-Baylor last week. His effort in doubles with Nathaniel Schoendorf led to an 8-3 result. Bradshaw handled the ace singles spot with 6-3, 6-2 scores and allowed the Cowboys a 7-2 win and 3-0 record in the division with one match remaining. This is the second ASC Division Player of the Week this season for Bradshaw.
 
WEST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lauren Schaeffer, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior Lauren Schaeffer (Abilene, Texas) managed victories in her No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles over Mary Hardin-Baylor last week to help the Cowgirls continue an unbeaten record against West Division foes. Schaeffer and Jonnah Smith took down the top Cru doubles team 8-2. Schaeffer clutched the second singles match in a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win. The Cowgirls needed every point to claim a 5-4 victory and move to 3-0 in the division with one remaining. This is the third ASC Division Player of the Week this season for Schaeffer.
 
EAST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kao Lenkopane, So., Ozarks
Ozarks sophomore Kao Lenkopane (Botswana, Africa) went undefeated during the week posting four wins in singles and doubles record to push the Eagles to a 4-0 overall record. Playing No. 4 singles, Lenkopane topped Preston Callahan from Oklahoma Wesleyan University 3-6, 6-3, 11-9 and then got a key win against East Division opponent Howard Payne 7-6, 2-6, 8-6. He cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win against St. Louis Pharmacy and a 6-3, 6-2 win against John Brown. At No. 3 doubles, he teamed with Joshua Wilde to post three wins and Perry Guidry to post one win.
 
EAST DIVISION WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Victoria Ramos, Fr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne freshman Victoria Ramos (Brownwood, Texas) picked up a number two singles victory 6-2, 6-2, and an 8-3 number one double win with partner Lexie Nave at Ozarks this week. The Lady Jackets picked up their first conference win with a 5-4 win over the Eagles. This is the second ASC Division Player of the Week for Ramos.

OTHER TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
UT Dallas freshman Snehin Yerragudi (Cedar Park, Texas) went 1-1 in both singles and doubles on the week. He earned an important number one singles victory over LeTourneau's Julian Lee 6-3, 6-3 to help the Comets to a 7-2 win and a step closer to the East Division title. Yerragudi also teamed with Nick Boquet at number two doubles to defeat the YellowJackets' Miles Grubbs and Andres Urrutia 8-4. His losses came on Sunday at SMU, the #55 team in Division I.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior Santiago Marin Suarez (Merida, Yucatan, Mexico) recorded an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles over division leader, Hardin-Simmons.
 
OTHER TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman Abbey Faggard (Cypress, Texas) earned wins in both No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles over ASC West Division No. 1 Hardin-Simmons.
 
Ozarks sophomore Emily Saniseng (Van Buren, Ark.) posted a pair of singles wins and doubles wins during the week for Ozarks. She had a 7-6, 2-6, 7-0 win at No. 3 singles against Howard Payne and a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles against St. Louis Pharmacy. Saniseng teamed with Lea Terrell to earn a 7-5 win against John Brown and a 8-1 win against St. Louis Pharmacy at No. 2 doubles.
