Bode, Ganesan lead ASC Men's Tennis All-Conference and Awards

RICHARDSON, Texas – Concordia Texas graduate student Joshua Bode and UT Dallas senior Ritvik Ganesan headline the 2023 American Southwest Conference Men’s Tennis All-Conference and awards as voted on by the head coaches within each division.
 
Bode won the West Division Most Valuable Player after posting a 20-1 record in singles and 19-2 record in doubles for the Tornados. Bode was also the Most Valuable Player on the All-Tournament Team for the 2023 ASC Men’s Tennis title winners.
 
Ganesan was the East Division Most Valuable Player of the Year, as he compiled a 10-4 overall record for the ASC East Division Regular Season champions. He played most of his contests in flight four and went 8-4 in that slot.
 
The West Division also had Brice Bradshaw from Hardin-Simmons named Newcomer of the Year, and Concordia Texas freshman Daniel Beckles was picked Freshman of the Year. Hardin-Simmons senior Davyn Williford was named West Division All-Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year.
 
In the East Division, East Texas Baptist freshman Sam Black was selected Freshman of the Year. Howard Payne junior Landon Ferree and LeTourneau senior Julian Lee shared East Division Co-Sportsmanship Athletes of the Year.
 
Coaches of each division winner were named repeat ASC Coach of the Year. Hardin-Simmons Shane Williford earned his seventh divisional award. He advanced his team to the ASC title match this season. UT Dallas Bryan Whitt led the Comets to their third consecutive East Division title and sixth overall, as he earned the East Division Coach of the Year accolade an eighth time.
