Five Programs; Six Individuals earn 2023 USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS, La. – All-Academic Athletes for the 2023 NCAA Division III Track and Field seasons were announced on Thursday (July 13) by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Individual athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 GPA scale.
 
Student-athletes must also meet one of the following athletic criteria:
  • Must have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participate at the Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
  • Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in relay at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.

LeTourneau: Ellie Marsh (Civil Engineering), Victoria Wilson (Kinesiology)
 
McMurry: Naj Campbell (Kinesiology)

(Men’s Track and Field Individuals)
McMurry: Jayden Gonzales (Kinesiology), Rylan Rogers (Business), Sutton Welch (Political Science)
 
Additionally, All-Academic Teams for the 2023 NCAA Division III Track & Field Seasons were announced with UT Dallas and LeTourneau men's and women's programs and Ozarks women's squad being named. The Comets, who are guided by Danielle Kcholi, had both men’s and women’s teams post 3.63 GPA results. The YellowJackets, who are led by Kathleen Raske, had their women’s program post a 3.53 GPA and men’s team post a 3.23 GPA. The Eagles, who are led by Tony Skiles, posted a 3.59 GPA for the women's team. 
 
Criteria for a team to be named NCAA Division III All-Academic Team is cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter.
