EAST DIVISION MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Landon Ferree, Sr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne senior Landon Ferree (Little River Academy, Texas) gave the Yellow Jackets the match-winning point in a 5-4 victory over LeTourneau this past week. Ferree started strong in number two doubles with an 8-7 win with partner Sebastian Soria while also serving at the number three singles spot with the match tied up 4-4. He would go on to take the series 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 to give the Jackets a crucial conference victory and earn his second dual-match victory of the season.
 
WEST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Justus Petersilie, So., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons sophomore Justus Petersilie (Ratingen, Germany) led the Cowboy tennis team winning both his No. 1 singles matches and both No. 1 doubles matches. Against McMurry to open ASC play he won 6-3, 6-2 in singles. And won his doubles match (8-7).
 
EAST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Riya Matharoo, Fr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas freshman Riya Matharoo (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) went 3-0 on the week as the Comets split their two matches. Against Division II Missouri-St. Louis on Monday, she won at number two singles 6-4, 6-3 against Maja Lietzau. Matharoo played in the top spot against conference rival Ozarks and won easily 6-0, 6-0. She also teamed with Reika Nagai for an 8-1 victory in number three doubles against the Eagles.
 
WEST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Laurel Coleman, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons junior Laurel Coleman (The Woodlands, Texas) led the Cowgirl tennis team winning both her No. 1 singles matches and both No. 1 doubles matches. Against McMurry to open ASC play she won 7-5, 6-1 in singles. And won her doubles match 8-2.
 
OTHER TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
East Texas Baptist junior Slade Austin (Arlington, Texas) went 2-0 last week with an upset win over UMHB. It is only the second time in program history that ETBU has defeated UMHB and it was the Tiger's 11th win which is a program best. Austin went 4-0 on the week including two wins in the 5-4 win over UMHB including an 8-7 tiebreaking win at #3 doubles to put ETBU up, 3-0. The day before ETBU defeated Willamette, 8-1, where he won both matches.

UT Dallas sophomore Snehin Yerragudi (Cedar Park, Texas) went 2-0 at number three singles and 1-1 at three doubles as the Comets won both of their matches this week. He picked up a three-set 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win over Division II Missouri-St. Louis' Jaun Vigil and barely lost in doubles with partner Noah Sam 6-7 (8-10) to the Tritons. Yerragudi went on to win at Ozarks 6-0, 6-1 in singles and 8-6 in doubles.
 
LeTourneau sophomore Zach Farris (Lucas, Texas) won both of his matches in LeTourneau's narrow loss to Howard Payne. He held down the top flight in singles with a 7-6(4), 6-1 victory over Nicolas Gates after teaming with Chase Rogers for an 8-5 victory at the No. 1 spot in doubles. The doubles win was the duo's 10th of the season.

OTHER TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
LeTourneau freshman Isa Casso (McKinney, Texas) picked up a singles and doubles win in LeTourneau's 8-1 victory over Howard Payne last week. The freshman had LeTourneau's clinching point of the match with her 6-1, 6-1 win over Zoe Sprayberry at No. 3, her 10th singles victory of the season. She teamed with Brandy Weems for an 8-3 victory at the No. 2 flight in doubles.

East Texas Baptist sophomore Addy Seward (Richland, Miss.) went 3-1 on the week going 2-0 in doubles play. She helped ETBU to a 9-0 win over Willamette and won at No. 1 doubles versus UMHB in a 6-3 close loss.
