OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Taylor Koch, F, So., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons sophomore forward
Taylor Koch (Centerville, Ohio) gave the Cowgirl offense a shot in the arm late, scoring two goals in the 3-0 win against Howard Payne in ASC play to ensure the victory. Koch played just 17 minutes coming on for Hardin-Simmons but was able to notch goals in the 68th and 73rd minutes to give the Cowgirls some much-needed insurance and help the team stay unbeaten in conference play.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Malyn Martinson, D, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior defender
Malyn Martinson (Cypress, Texas) helped the Cru to a 1-0 win over ETBU this week. She and the Cru defense limited the Tigers to just two total shots in the contest and one on frame. UMHB did not allow the Tigers a single shot in the second half. Martinson also scored the game-winner off a corner kick in the 84th minute.

Hardin-Simmons senior defender
Kalea Willis (Fort Worth, Texas) continued a great season for the Cowgirl backline to help record the sixth shutout for HSU this season. Willis played the full 90 minutes on a defense that only allowed seven shots and five shots on goal by Howard Payne and kept the Yellow Jackets from attempting a single corner kick. Hardin-Simmons stayed undefeated in ASC play with the fourth shutout win in a row by the Cowgirl defense.
