PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Armonie Ramey, G, Sr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne's Armonie Ramey led the Yellowjackets to a season opening 2-0 record. Ramey averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, 2.5 steals and two assists per game with wins over Schreiner and Texas Lutheran.  Ramey scored 22 points and had seven rebounds against Schreiner, while adding 20 points and seven rebounds against Texas Lutheran.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
 
East Texas Baptist Michael Roberts almost averaged a double-double for ETBU to open the season with 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He started the season with a double-double versus McMurry with 24 points and 11 rebounds and had 12 points and six rebounds versus Belhaven. He shot 38% versus McMurry and 40% versus Belhaven, making two three-pointers.  

Hudson Johnson from Mary Hardin-Baylor tallied 22 points with five assists and four steals in the Cru's season opener against Trinit.
