MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Giritharan D, Gr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas graduate student Giritharan D (Singapore) won both of his matchups, including the clincher at number two singles, as the Comets defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor 7-0 Sunday. D combined with Eddy Shteyn to defeat Fernando Andrade and Marcus Diaz Torres 6-2 at second doubles. He went on to win over Eli Sam 6-3, 6-1 to secure the match for UTD.
 
WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Erin Kittredge, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior Erin Kittredge (McKinney, Texas) earned a win at #1 singles and a 6-2 win at #2 doubles with partner Emily Higgs against UT Dallas. She led UMHB to their 4-3 win over the Comets, being the first ASC team to beat the Comets since 2018.
 

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
 
LeTourneau freshman Andrew Reiman (Houston, Texas) earned a 6-0, 7-6 victory at the No. 2 singles flight to help LeTourneau come back for a 5-2 win over Dallas in the team's only match of the week.

Hardin-Simmons sophomore Payne Smith (San Angelo, Texas) had two big wins for the Cowboys on their trip to the east coast last weekend. The Cowboys played some great competition playing at No. 19 Christopher Newport and facing No. 26 Salisbury. Smith had wins in two No. 1 singles matches, winning 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) against Averett and winning 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) against Virginia Wesleyan.
 
LeTourneau sophomore Issa Casso (McKinney, Texas) took wins at the topflight in both singles and doubles in LeTourneau's 7-0 victory over Dallas, the team's only match of the week. She earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory in singles and teamed with Elizabeth Moreau for a 6-0 win at the topflight in doubles.
 
UT Dallas senior Megan Zeng (Austin, Texas) won at number two singles and number one doubles in the Comets' 4-3 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor Sunday. She used a three-set tiebreaker at 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) to pick up a point over Lori Bryan. Zeng teamed with Reika Nagai for a win in doubles to defeat Jolin Ha and Bailee Lane 6-3. With Zeng's two victories, she moves into a tie for fourth place in career doubles wins with 39 and a tie for eighth with 29 singles triumphs.
