NFCA Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ten student-athletes were named on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region X Teams.
First Team
East Texas Baptist sophomore pitcher
Avery Holland leads the Tigers in the circle as she holds a 13-1 record. Holland has an ERA of 2.44 through 103.1 innings pitched. She has totaled 60 strikeouts and has thrown 10 complete games with six shutouts.
East Texas Baptist graduate student short stop
Tristen Maddox has started in all 46 games for the Tigers. She has a .407 batting average with 61 hits, 52 RBI and 56 runs scored. Maddox holds a .887 slug percentage and a .505 on base percentage. She has hit 16 homeruns this season with 18 doubles and three triples.
East Texas Baptist sophomore outfielder
Izabella Morales ranks second in batting average for the Tigers with a .423 average. She has 60 hits with 36 runs scored and has driven in 45 more. Morales holds a 1.031 OPS this season with eight doubles and four triples.
Second Team
East Texas Baptist freshman second baseman
Katelynn Jones leads the Tigers with a .431 batting average. She has 25 hits with 24 runs score and 14 RBI. Jones has stolen 24 bases and recorded a trio if triples and doubles.
Hardin-Simmons sophomore outfielder
Emily Jacobs earned ASC Player of the Year as she slashed .490/.564/.708 in 32 games with 32 starts. She recorded 47 hits, 12 doubles and three home runs. Jacobs drove in 39 runs and scored 26 runs. She reached base 14 times via a walk and was hit by pitch five times.
Hardin-Simmons senior outfielder
Haley Henson recorded a .468 batting average this season. She totaled 66 hits with 20 RBI and 55 runs scored. Henson had seven doubles and seven triples with two home runs.
Third Team
Hardin-Simmons freshman pitcher
Gabby Montanez led the Cowgirls with a 1.97 ERA and a 17-2 record. She pitched 124.1 innings with 12 complete games and five shutouts. Montanez had 57 strikeouts and was named ASC Freshman of the Year.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior pitcher
Eileigh Whyte posted a 12-6 record and had a 2.28 earned-run-average and 1.13 WHIP. She tossed 10 complete games and had a pair of shutouts across 110.1 innings pitched. She gave up just eight walks and struck out 54 batters while holding opponents to a .279 batting average. Whyte was also named ASC Pitcher of the Year.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior catcher
Tori Skinner recorded a .378 batting average and started in all 40 games for the Cru. She had 45 hits with 31 RBI and 22 runs scored. Skinner totaled seven doubles, three home runs and two triples.
East Texas Baptist graduate student third baseman
Tauryn Cummings has a .336 batting average this season with a .679 slug percentage. She has 44 hits with 41 RBI and 26 runs scored. Cummings totals 12 home runs, seven doubles and one triple so far this year.
