BELTON, Texas – Mary Hardin-Baylor and East Texas Baptist advanced to the American Southwest Conference Women’s Tennis Championship Match after semifinal wins on Friday morning in Belton.

nd at 1 p.m. at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center in Belton.

Hardin-Simmons claimed the doubles point with wins from Laurel Coleman and Addyson Tylaska in Flight 2 and Jonnah Smith and Trinity McBride in Flight 3.
The Cowgirls grabbed the first singles wins in Flight 6 from Addyson Tylaska, 6-1, 6-3. East Texas Baptist then got on the board with a Flight 2 6-3, 6-3 win from Bailey Smith. Hardin-Simmons increased the lead to 3-1 with a 6-3, 6-3 win from Emma Curiel in Flight 5.
The Tigers fought back hard from there to secure the match. Monique Ybarra added the next point in Flight 1 with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 victory. Jayde Childress followed in Flight 3 with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 win before Fernanda Ruiz Burkart clinched the match with a 0-6, 7-6(7-5), 6-2 come from behind win.

Mary Hardin-Baylor clinched the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 wins from Erin Kittredge and Emily Higgs at Flight 2 and Kaylee Jo Alexander and Zoe Male at Flight 3.
The Cru added their second point with a 6-0, 6-2 Flight 3 win. Emily Higgs followed that with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at Flight 6 before Lori Bryan clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-0 win at Flight 2.
