MARSHALL, Texas – The East Texas Baptist softball closed the 2025 season in the NCAA DIII Softball Championship Tournament Super Regionals on Friday in Marshall.

Texas Lutheran scored their first run on an RBI single in the third inning. The Bulldogs then added one more run in the sixth inning to secure the 2-0 victory.

The Tigers recorded six hits in the contest led by Madalyn Melton and Katelynn Jones with two each. Melton also pitched the complete game with a pair of strikeouts.

East Texas Baptist claimed the American Southwest Conference Champion Title and earned the ASC Automatic Qualifier to the national tournament. The Tigers went 43-5 overall on the year and 15-1 in conference play. ETBU earned wins over Marymount and St. Thomas in the NCAA Regional Round.
