BELTON, Texas - East Texas Baptist claimed the 2025 American Southwest Conference Women’s Tennis Championship title after a 4-3 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday afternoon in Belton.
The Tigers earned the doubles point with a 6-1 flight 1 win from Monique Ybarra and Bailey Smith and a 6-3 Flight 3 win from Kristyn Dunn and Isabelle Macquet.
Bailee Lane earned a point for the Cru in Flight 5 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Monique Ybarra brought the Tigers up 2-1 with a 6-0, 6-3 win in Flight 1. Zoe Male earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at Flight 3 to tie it 2-2.
The Tigers took a 3-2 lead with a 6-2, 6-3 win from Isabelle Macquet in Flight 6. Jolin Ha tied it back 3-3 for the Cru with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-0 Flight 4 win. Bailey Smith clinched the title for ETBU with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 Flight 2 victory.
The Tigers earn the ASC Automatic Qualifier to the NCAA DIII Women’s Tennis Championship.
