MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kell Castleberry, So., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore Kell Castleberry went 2-0 last week, helping the Cru secure a 4-3 victory over Hardin-Simmons. Castleberry teamed with Vincent Rivas at No. 3 doubles, defeating Maddux Foster and Kayden Lengacher 7-6 (7-5). He also earned a win at No. 6 singles, defeating Lengacher 6-4, 6-2.

WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Emma Nordin, Fr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Emma Nordin finished the week undefeated, recording victories at No. 2 doubles and No. 2 singles to help Mary Hardin-Baylor earn a 6-1 conference win over Hardin-Simmons. Nordin and partner Breanna Taylor defeated Taylor Levy and Addyson Tylaska 6-1 to clinch the doubles point, and Nordin also defeated Brenna Gordon 6-3, 6-2 in singles.

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES

Payne Smith (Hardin-Simmons) went 2-0 on the week, winning at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a close 4-3 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor. Smith defeated Davi Savi in a three-set match, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, and paired with Gabriel Harris to win 7-6 (7-5) in doubles.

Sydney Tomlin (Hardin-Simmons) also went 2-0, competing in flight one singles and doubles. Tomlin defeated Jolin Ha in singles 5-7, 6-0, 6-3, and teamed with Brenna Gordon to win the doubles match 7-5.
