EAST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Michelle Obach, Jr., G, Texas-Tyler
Texas-Tyler junior guard Michelle Obach (Tyler, Texas / T.K Gorman HS) remains one of the most productive players in the conference after going for 11 points in a win over Texas Lutheran and 15 points against No. 19 Trinity last week to help lead the Patriots to a pair of victories at their home classic. Obach is now averaging 17.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while also leading the team with 39 assists and 24 steals.
WEST DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Danyel Bradley, Sr., G, Howard Payne
Senior guard Danyel Bradley (DeSoto, Texas / Bishop Lynch HS) led the Lady Jackets with an average of 19 points and 8.5 rebounds over two games. Bradley recorded 3.5 assists per game and shot 50 percent (13-for-26) from the field. She had 22 points and 11 rebounds in a conference road victory over No. 22 Texas Dallas.

EAST DIVISION
Belhaven junior guard Sierra Pittman (Mobile, Ala. / Faith Academy) finished with a career performance in points on Saturday, scoring 23 against Hardin-Simmons. Pittman was 8-of-13 from the field and hit 7-of-10 from the charity stripe in the Blazers’ win.
East Texas Baptist sophomore forward Taylee Alexander (Rowlett, Texas / Rowlett HS) posted a double-double in her first game back from Christmas break with 17 points and 11 rebounds. She shot .630 from the floor and had 11 total rebounds. Alexander helped ETBU to a 3-0 start in the ASC East, 7-0 at home this season, and 9-2 overall. In a 17-2 run in the second quarter where ETBU went from a one-point lead to a 17-point lead, Alexander had four points and two rebounds in the run.
LeTourneau junior guard Crystal Jones (Fort Worth, Texas / Bossier Parish CC) had back-to-back double figure scoring efforts against Trinity (Dec. 29) and Texas Lutheran (Dec. 30). Against Trinity, Jones had 19 points, an assist and two steals in the loss. She followed that up with her second 30-plus point effort of the season with 30 points in the win over Texas Lutheran in just 23 minutes of action. Jones has been proficient from the field, making 62.1 percent of her shots last week. In addition to her success from the field, Jones was perfect from the free-throw line, making all six attempts.
Ozarks sophomore guard Macie Kultgen (Prairie Grove, Ark. / Prairie Grove HS) made a running inside shot over a pair of defenders to push the Eagles past Sul Ross State for a 55-54 win. Trailing 54-53, Kultgen weaved her way through the Sul Ross defense to score the game-winning basket with 54 seconds left. Kultgen finished with 14 points on a 5-of-9 shooting night.
Texas Dallas junior forward Micaela Gonzalez (McKinney, Texas / Boyd HS) averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds as the Comets split a pair of games after the holiday break. Gonzalez recorded her fourth double-double of the season as she scored 11 points and added 10 rebounds in a 58-55 road win over Austin College. Gonzalez then scored 18 points and added four rebounds and a pair of steals in a 68-57 home loss to Howard Payne Saturday afternoon.
WEST DIVISION
Concordia Texas junior guard Emily Cullers (Comanche, Texas / Hardin-Simmons) led the Tornados in scoring in two games over New Year's weekend. Cullers recorded 15 of her 19 total points came from behind the three-point arc.
Hardin-Simmons junior forward Kayla Brown (Grand Prairie, Texas / Arlington Bowie HS) averaged a double-double with 10.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
Mary Hardin-Baylor senior guard Kourtney Bevers (Liberty Hill, Texas / Liberty Hill HS) led the Cru with 31 points last week, scoring a game-high 19 against Our Lady of the Lake and adding 12 points against Louisiana College. Bevers started in both contests, playing 69 total minutes with 11 rebounds.
