RICHARDSON, Texas - Four coaches and 24 football student-athletes from the American Southwest Conference participated in seven different senior all-start bowl games in December and January. 

ASC members Belhaven, East Texas Baptist, Howard Payne, Louisiana College, Mary Hardin-Baylor, Southwestern and Sul Ross State were represented in the various games.

Southwestern head coach Joe Austin was on the coaching staff at the Tazón De Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) in Mexico.

LC Offensive Coordinator Ben McLaughlin served as a head coach at the Dream Bowl in Salem, Va. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Vince Giardiana and Dakota Gallant, both Wildcat assistants, were on McLaughlin's staff at the game.
