Arredondo, Klamecki, Qi, and Ducret earn Tennis Players of the Week

WEST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Estaban Arredondo, Gr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas graduate student Estabon Arredondo (The Woodlands, Texas) is currently on a six-match winning streak in singles play and continued his hot play with three more wins last week. He only dropped three games in his three matches, while also defeating Sul Ross in straight sets. In doubles action, he posted two sweeps. He and Joeri Bregman defeated Texas Lutheran 8-0 and Schreiner 8-4. He then teamed up with Nico De La Pena to best Sul Ross 8-0.
 
WEST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Trinity Klamecki, Jr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas junior Trinity Klamecki (Little Elm, Texas) was dominant last week as she only dropped two games in three singles matches, including two 6-0, 6-0 sweeps against Texas Lutheran and Sul Ross. In doubles play with Claire Austin, she also went 3-0. They defeated Texas Lutheran 8-3 on Friday, and outlasted Schreiner 8-7 on Saturday. The followed that up with an 8-0 sweep over Sul Ross on Monday.
 
EAST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Nathan Qi, Fr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas freshman Nathan Qi (Austin, Texas) grinded out a pair of wins for UT Dallas in its 8-1 East Division victory against Ozarks on Friday. He teamed with Rivik Ganesan for an 8-7 (8-6) win over Hikaru Yamaya and Kento Iwahara at number one doubles. Qi then went on to win in three sets at number three singles over Joshua Wilde 5-7, 6-1, 6-1. This is his second ASC Tennis Player of the Week honor.
 
EAST DIVISION WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Elyssa Ducret, So., UT Dallas
UT Dallas sophomore Elyssa Ducret (Plano, Texas) did not give up a point in her two match-ups in the Comets' 9-0 win against Ozarks on Friday. She teamed with Megan Zeng to move to 8-2 on the season at number two doubles, defeating Lea Terrell and Sedalia Shumaker 8-0. Ducret then went on to sweep Emily Saniseng 6-0, 6-0 at number four singles.

OTHER TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
Hardin-Simmons senior Davyn Willford (Abilene, Texas) dropped both games to No. 1 nationally ranked Case Western. Willford won both matches against Skidmore, who are ranked No 30. He won in No. 3 doubles 8-6, and No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-0.
 
OTHER TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
Hardin-Simmons graduate student Jacy Smith (Bryan, Texas) went 1-1 in singles and doubles this week, as the Cowgirls fell to nationally ranked Kenyon College and swept SUNY New Paltz. In her win for singles No. 1, she scored 6-0, 6-2. In her doubles win at No. 1 she posted an 8-2 result.
