East Texas Baptist and Mary Hardin-Baylor Advance to 2026 Women's Tennis Championship

Belton, Texas – East Texas Baptist and Mary Hardin-Baylor have advanced to the 2026 American Southwest Conference Women's Tennis Final and will play in the championship game Saturday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m. 

No. 3 East Texas Baptist 4, No. 2 Hardin-Simmons 1
East Texas Baptist punched its ticket to the finals with a 4-1 victory over Hardin-Simmons in the morning semifinal. The Tigers secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. The duo of Monique Ybarra and Isabella Macquet earned a 7-5 victory, while Jazmyne Ford-Schartner and Neyna Gonzales sealed the point with a 7-6, 7-6 win. Hardin-Simmons picked up its lone doubles win at the No. 2 position, with Emma Curiel and Addy Tylaska.

East Texas Baptist carried the momentum into singles, closing out the match to secure its spot in the championship.

Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru women's tennis advanced to the ASC finals for the second consecutive year with a 4-0 sweep of Howard Payne. The Cru opened strong by claiming the doubles point behind victories from Bailee Lane and Jolin Ha, along with Emma Nordin and Breanna Taylor at the top two flights.

In singles play, Lori Bryan clinched the match in decisive fashion with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the four spot.
