Belton, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor claimed the 2026 ASC Women's Tennis Championship, defeating East Texas Baptist University 4-0 in the championship match to secure the title for the first time in program history. The NCAA Selection Show is set for May 4 at 12:00 p.m.
The Tigers and Cru opened the match with a competitive doubles slate. Monique Ybarra and Isabella Macquet earned a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles for ETBU, while Lori Bryan and Avery Williams responded with a win at No. 3 doubles to even the doubles point. Emma Nordin and Breanna Taylor then clinched the doubles point for the Cru with a victory at No. 2 doubles 4-6.
UMHB carried that momentum into singles play, earning straight-set wins from Emma Nordin (6-1, 6-2), Breanna Taylor (6-0, 6-0), and Avery Williams (6-1, 7-5) to seal the championship.
The Cru entered the tournament as the 2026 ASC Regular Season Champions, finishing conference play undefeated at 3-0, capping off the season by bringing home the program’s first conference tournament title.
