New Braunfels, Texas – East Texas Baptist junior
Monique Ybarra has been named the Most Valuable Player, headlining the 2026 American Southwest Conference Women’s Tennis All-Conference Awards, released Tuesday.
Ybarra finished the regular season with a 13-3 record at the Flight 1 singles position, including a perfect 13-0 mark against Division III opponents. During conference play, she won all three of her matches in straight sets, leading the conference at the No. 1 spot. Ybarra also earned Second Team All-Conference honors at Flight 1 doubles after posting a 2-1 record in conference play and a 7-3 overall mark.
Mary Hardin-Baylor’s
Emma Nordin was named Freshman of the Year following an impressive debut season. Nordin went 3-0 in conference play at Flight 2 singles, earning First Team All-Conference honors in her first year. She also excelled in doubles play, earning First Team All-Conference recognition after posting a 3-0 record in conference play at the Flight 2 position.
Mary Hardin-Baylor Head Coach
Daniel White was named ASC Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season after leading the Cru to both the regular season and conference tournament championships—the first in program history for the women’s team. White guided his team to an undefeated conference season and had six players named to this year’s All-Conference teams.
