2023 Championship Central
RICHARDSON, Texas –
Hardin-Simmons posted a perfect record across the West Division en route to its third consecutive division title and right to host the 2023 ASC Women’s Tennis Championship tournament on April 27-28-29 at Streich Tennis Complex. This will be the 25th ASC Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament.
Hardin-Simmons (10-5, 4-0 ASC) is the West Division No. 1 seed and begins tournament play in the semifinals on April 28 at 2:00 p.m. HSU will face the winner of the East Texas Baptist vs. Concordia Texas quarterfinal. The Cowgirls are tied with the all-time most ASC women’s tennis titles with nine.
UT Dallas (8-6, 4-0 ASC) earned the East Division No. 1 seed and starts the tournament in the semifinals April 28 at 10:00 a.m. The Comets meet the winner of the Mary Hardin-Baylor and LeTourneau quarterfinal. The Comets come into the 2023 postseason as three-time defending champion with four total conference titles.
West Division No. 2 seed
Concordia Texas (12-3, 3-1) starts the tournament vs. East Division No. 3 seed
LeTourneau (5-8, 2-2 ASC) on April 27 (10:00 a.m.), the opening match of the championship.
East Texas Baptist (12-6, 3-1 ASC), East Division No. 2 seed, takes on West Division No. 3 seed
Mary Hardin-Baylor (7-9, 2-2) in the second April 27 quarterfinal match (2:00 p.m.). ETBU won the 2017 ASC championbship.
