EAST DIVISION MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Nick Boquet, Gr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas graduate student
Nick Boquet (Allen, Texas) won both of his matches in UTD’s 8-1 victory against LeTourneau on Wednesday. He teamed with Benjamin Dubois for an 8-0 blanking of Alex Barrero and Liam Wedge at number two doubles, then followed with a 6-0, 6-1 number five singles win over John Lewis. Boquet and Dubois are now 4-1 on the season as a tandem.
WEST DIVISION MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Joshua Bode, Gr., Concordia Texas

Joshua Bode (Austin, Texas) dominated on line one to help give Concordia Texas a pair of wins last weekend. In a conference game at McMurry, Bode & his doubles partner, Adrian Munguia, earned an 8-5 win. He then tallied a 6-1, 7-5 victory to help give CTX the 9-0 sweep over the Warhawks. Later in the same afternoon, Bode ran double duty with Munguia in the opening match of doubles against Sul Ross with an 8-0 triumph. He then helped the Tornados cap off their second straight sweep of the day with a 6-0, 6-1 win. This is his fourth ASC Player of the Week this spring and has earned it consecutive weeks.
EAST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Megan Zeng, Jr., UT Dallas
UT Dallas junior
Megan Zeng (Austin, Texas) was a perfect 4-0 on the week, as the #38 Comets won both of their matches. She teamed with Elyssa Ducret for a pair of 8-1 victories over LeTourneau and McMurry at number two doubles. Zeng also defeated Anatole Hurta of LETU 6-3, 6-0 and Kaylee Connally of MCM 6-2, 6-0 at number five singles.
WEST DIVISION WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kayla Pena, Jr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas junior
Kayla Pena (Rio Grande City, Texas) was a force on line one with two wins in singles and two wins in doubles last Saturday. The junior helped give CTX a 7-2 conference victory over McMurry as her and teammate Isabella Cepeda surged to an 8-1 victory. She then wasted no time in singles action with a straight set win. Later in the afternoon against Sul Ross, Pena & Cepeda earned an 8-4 win in duos action. Pena then won her singles match 6-1, 6-3 to help sweep the Lobos. This is her second ASC Player of the Week honor this spring.

Hardin-Simmons sophomore
Justus Petersilie (Ratingen, Germany) won the day for the Cowboys in a marathon singles match against East Texas Baptist coming back to win 6-7(1), 7-6(5), 1-0(7). He went 2-0 in the No. 1 singles this week and spilt his doubles matches.
East Texas Baptist junior
Slade Austin (Arlington, Texas) helped ETBU to its first ASC East Division win over Howard Payne with singles win and then scored two of the four points in a 5-4 loss to HSU. Went 3-0 on the day in Brownwood as ETBU played two matches in one day.
Ozarks senior
Hikaru Yamaya (Osaka, Japan) won his singles and doubles match to help the Eagles post a 9-0 win against Austin College. Yamaya played No. 1 singles and won 6-4, 6-2. He and Kento Iwahara played No. 2 doubles and won 8-1.
McMurry sophomore
Nicholas Villalovos (Hereford, Texas) picked up a No. 1 singles win and No. 1 doubles win against Sul Ross State with sweeps 6-0, 6-0 and 8-0, respectively. Villalovos battled nationally ranked Bode in No. 1 Singles match with a 6-1, 7-5 setback.
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore
Drew Gonzales (Wimberley, Texas) contributed two wins this for Cru this weekend, winning his doubles match 8-0, and winning his singles match in two 6-0 sets.
OTHER TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
Hardin-Simmons senior
Jonnah Smith (Wink, Texas) led the Cowgirl tennis team to go 2-0 on the week by winning both her singles and doubles matches. Against a 10-0 East Texas Baptist, she won the No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-7(4), 1-0(7) and helped HSU to a 6-3 victory. She also won the No. 2 singles against Sul Ross and both No. 1 doubles against ETBU and SRSU.
East Texas Baptist freshman
Monique Ybarra (Palestine, Texas) helped ETBU to a program-best 10-0 start with an 8-1 win over Howard Payne winning both No. 1 singles and doubles. She then scored one of the three points vs. HSU winning the No. 1 singles match in a tiebreaker. ETBU is 10-1 overall.
McMurry senior
Bridgette Fly (Watauga, Texas) won No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles matches against Sul Ross State 8-0 and 6-0, 6-0, respectively. She competed against top competition with nationally ranked UT Dallas and top division contender Concordia Texas.
Mary Hardin-Baylor freshman
Jolin Ha (Sugarland, Texas) was a major contributor to UMHB in their match against Sul Ross State. She worked to earn the 8-0 sweep at line 1 doubles, then continued the streak with her win in line 4 singles.
